MD Dermatology Venereology Leprosy

1. MBBS degree recognised by NMC
2. Completion of one-year compulsory rotating internship on or before the prescribed cut-off date
3. Qualified NEET-PG examination
4. Permanent/Provisional registration with NMC / State Medical Council
5. Admission through centralised counselling as per applicable State / All-India quota rules

The M.D. Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy (DVL) program at Khaja Bandanawaz University, Kalaburagi is a three-year postgraduate clinical residency designed to produce competent dermatologists with strong clinical acumen and academic grounding. The curriculum follows NMC postgraduate regulations and provides comprehensive training in medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, dermatosurgery basics, cosmetology principles, sexually transmitted diseases, and leprosy management. Residents gain extensive hands-on experience through outpatient services, inpatient care, procedural clinics, histopathology correlation, and multidisciplinary interactions. Academic activities include seminars, case presentations, journal clubs, audits, and dissertation research, enabling evidence-based practice. Graduates are prepared for independent clinical practice, academic roles, research, and subspecialty fellowships.
