MD Community Medicine

1. Recognized MBBS degree with completed internship.
2. Registration with NMC or a State Medical Council.
3. Valid NEET PG score meeting the qualifying cutoff.
4. Participation in state or national PG counseling as per rules.
5. Fulfillment of category/domicile criteria where applicable.

The MD in Community Medicine at MIMER Pune is a comprehensive postgraduate medical program of three years designed to develop medical professionals with expertise in public health, preventive medicine, and community-oriented healthcare delivery. The curriculum emphasizes epidemiology, biostatistics, health systems management, research methodology, environmental health, and health education. Students gain exposure to community health needs through field postings, research projects, participatory health programs, and interaction with rural and urban populations. The department trains residents in analyzing health trends, planning and evaluating health programs, conducting health surveys, and collaborating with government and non-government health agencies. Graduates are prepared for roles in public health administration, community health services, academic teaching, research, and leadership positions addressing population health challenges.

1. Qualify NEET PG, conducted by the National Board of Examinations.
2. Register for counseling via the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra or under the All India Quota, as applicable.
3. Document verification including MBBS certificate, internship completion, registration proof, identity, and other required documents.
4. Choice filling and locking for preferred colleges and PG courses.
5. Seat allotment based on NEET PG rank, category, and choices in counseling.
6. Report to MIMER Pune with the allotment letter, complete fee payment and formalities.
7. Commencement of academic session according to MUHS and institute schedule.
