MD Community Medicine

Overview

• Government Medical College, Ongole, founded in 2008, is a government-run institution affiliated with NTRUHS and recognized by the NMC . The MD Community Medicine program has an annual intake of 7 seats .
• The Department of Community Medicine offers comprehensive training through both urban and rural health initiatives, including an Urban Health Training Center (UHTC) in Balaji Colony and a Rural Health Training Center (RHTC) in Maddipadu village .
• Facilities include teaching halls, departmental library, health museum (with models, specimens, wax models, slides in epidemiology, entomology, parasitology, nutrition, etc.), laboratory instruments (microscopes, centrifuge, autoclave, hot air oven, sterilizers), and faculty guidance led by Prof. Boppudi Sreedevi (and team)

Eligibility

MBBS degree recognized by NMC

Completion of compulsory internship

Qualified NEET-PG exam

Registration for counselling under AIQ or State Quota (AP)

Document verification including NEET scorecard, MBBS marksheets, internship certificate, eligibility proof, identity, 10th–12th documents, domicile/caste certificates, etc.
