AIIMS Bilaspur’s MD Biochemistry is a postgraduate program designed to develop specialist knowledge and skills in biochemistry, with emphasis on both theoretical understanding and practical clinical as well as laboratory application. The program spans three years, during which students learn diagnostic biochemistry, molecular biology techniques, metabolic diseases, enzymology, nutritional biochemistry, immunological assays, and quality control in lab settings. The intake for the course in 2025 is 9 seats, making competition significant. Students get exposure to research via thesis work, and advanced lab techniques. The curriculum aligns with the AIIMS syllabus norms for MD Biochemistry, follows INI-CET-based admission, and ensures that graduates are eligible for academic, diagnostic, or research roles in medical biochemistry. The fee for the first year is nominal.

1. Complete an MBBS degree from a recognised medical college, meeting the required minimum marks (55%).
2. Prepare for and appear in INI-CET (Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test).
3. Wait for AIIMS Bilaspur’s notification / counselling schedule for MD Biochemistry.
4. During counselling, choose a seat, complete seat allocation formalities.
5. Complete document verification, pay fees, and physically join the program.
6. Undertake the academic coursework, practical/lab assignments, and complete thesis/research components.
