Overview
The MD in Biochemistry at FAAMCH is a postgraduate program that provides in-depth training in the biochemical and molecular basis of human health and diseases. FAAMCH, established in 2011 and affiliated with SSUHS, has a dedicated Biochemistry Department equipped with modern laboratories and research facilities. Postgraduate residents are trained in clinical biochemistry, enzymology, endocrinology, molecular diagnostics, immunology, and genetic studies. The program emphasizes both academic learning and hands-on laboratory training. Students also participate in seminars, journal clubs, research projects, and teaching of undergraduate students. Graduates of this course are prepared to take up careers as medical biochemists, researchers, faculty in medical colleges, or specialists in diagnostic laboratories.

Eligibility
- MBBS degree recognized by NMC (formerly MCI).
- Completion of a one-year compulsory rotating internship.
- Permanent/provisional registration with State Medical Council/NMC.
- Must have qualified NEET-PG examination.
- Admission through All India Quota (MCC) or Assam State Quota (DME Assam) counselling.

Admission Process:
- Central Admission process by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), based on NEET PG entrance exam merit list. The MCC will publish the seat matrix, online application dates & deadlines and allotment schedule on its official website, for different admission round for 50% seats of MD/MS/Diploma courses through out India. The remaining 50% seats will be allotted through State Admission Counselling process. After online seat allottment, candidates need to report with required documents at their alloted institute within a given timeframe, failing which will null & void the alloted seat and it will be filled in next allotment round.
