The UAB Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship is a three-year advanced fellowship designed to provide comprehensive clinical and research training in maternal-fetal medicine. Fellows gain experience in managing medically complex pregnancies, fetal and obstetric complications, high-risk prenatal care, labor and delivery, antepartum care, fetal ultrasound, genetics, critical care in pregnancy, diagnostic fetal procedures, and basic fetal interventions. The program includes 12 months of research along with dedicated rotations in outpatient care, inpatient services, ultrasound, genetics, surgical intensive care, and electives, preparing graduates for careers as academic clinicians and clinician-scientists.
