The Master of Science (MS) in Medical Biotechnology (MBT) at the University of Illinois College of Medicine – Rockford is a two-year, full-time graduate program that provides advanced education and hands-on training in biotechnology and biomedical sciences. The curriculum integrates coursework with laboratory research, preparing students to apply modern biotechnological techniques in areas such as molecular biology, genetics, immunology, drug discovery, diagnostics, and medical device development. Students complete either a research project or a 600-hour industry internship, gaining practical experience in academic, clinical, or industrial settings.
