Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Biotechnology

A candidate who has passed a Bachelor's degree of 3 years duration (B.Sc. or equivalent) under 10+2+3 pattern from any recognized university.

• Students will learn across the two years of study how to convert key research from biomedical and medical researchers into specific applications related to pharmaceutical innovation, disease control, and ameliorating the effects of aging or disability. This will be reinforced through robust training in bioethics, biosafety, and the regulatory processes required to bring medical biotechnology products to market.

1. Bioengineering and tissue engineering
2. Stem cells and Regenerative medicine
3. Drug discovery, biopharmaceutical development associated regulatory and IP issues
4. Immunology, pathophysiology and personalised medicine
5. Clinical trial and associated regulatory procedures
6. Development and design of PoC devices
7. Anti-microbial resistance (AMR) avoidance and mitigation
8. Community-based medical biotechnology
9. OMICS technologies, pharmacogenomics and bioinformatic

• Applications to GBU will be made only via the GBU website.
• GAT-B examination is necessary.
• Students will be selected based on GAT-B examination and a GBU interview
• The admissions process looks beyond standardized test scores in GAT-B exams.
