Master of Science (MSc) in Biotechnology

Overview

The M.Sc. in Biotechnology at SVIMS is designed to build depth across modern biotechnological fields. The curriculum includes core modules such as Genomics & Proteomics, Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Immunotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Environmental & Animal Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Enzymology, Nanotechnology, and Biostatistics. Emphasis is placed on theory with hands-on lab work and project-based learning. The program aims to develop well-rounded professionals capable of working in R&D, clinical diagnostics, pharmaceutical and agro-biotech sectors, or further academic research 

Eligibility

Must have bachelor’s in life science discipline from a recognized university

Minimum aggregate: 50% (45% for SC/ST)

Graduation must include Chemistry or Biochemistry and at least one biological optional subject (e.g., Microbiology, Biotechnology, Zoology, Botany)
