Master of Science (MSc) in Biotechnology

Overview

MSc Biotechnology is a programme offering courses which emphasize understanding of fundamental principles through courses in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, Microbiology, and Immunology. The programme is unique as it provides elective courses in Stem Cell Biology, Bioprocess Engineering, Recombinant DNA Technology, Bioanalytical Techniques, Genomics, Bioinformatics, and Biostatistics. The programme is entirely focused on upgrading skills amongst students by incorporating Research Project as an integral component that provides an opportunity for the students to get trained in independently drafting a hypothesis, designing a research project, and performing laboratory experiments followed by data analysis coupled with an opportunity to publish.

Eligibility

• Candidates should have passed with a B.Sc. or B.Sc. (Hons.) in any subject within the Life Sciences, with Biochemistry or Chemistry as a general subject at the undergraduate level.
• Candidates must have one of these subjects at the general undergraduate level:                                                                                                     B.Sc. Hons. In Chemistry
  Biochemistry or it’s equivalent
  Bachelor in Agricultural Science
  Food Technology
  B.Tech in Biotechnology
  M.B.B.S
  B. Pharm
• Candidates must have at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University.
