Overview
M.Sc. Human Nutrition, a two year postgraduate program offered under the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, is aimed at training students in basic as well as medical aspects of Human Nutrition. Innovation in foods, their recipes and methods of preparation plays an important role in digestive processes and maintaining good health. Knowledge about the physiology, digestive potential of different human beings, during normal and disease conditions, and also for certain disorders, designer/personalized diets are essential. Therefore, the aim of this M.Sc. program is to provide a thorough training in the areas of Human Nutrition through formal lectures and/or seminars, practical classes and project work. This program in Human Nutrition in Chettinad Academy of Research and Education prepares the students for carrying out designing and research in this area that will lead to a new understanding of human nutrition and dietetics. This program is a taught course that covers all relevant topics in human nutrition and also a project in the area of specialization.

at +2 level / Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (B.O.T.) / Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) / B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Physician’s Assistant or any graduate degree in Medical / Health Sciences awarded by a recognized Indian or Foreign University.
