Master of Science (MSc) in Community Health Nursing

• Passed B.Sc Nursing (Basic) or Post Certificate B.Sc Nursing of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka (RGUHS), or any other University accepted as equivalent by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
• Minimum of one year of experience after obtaining B.Sc Nursing (Basic), in a hospital or in Nursing educational Institution or in community health setting.
• For candidates with Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing degree no such experience is needed after
• The aggregated marks obtained be not less than 50%.

Course objectives:

• Utilize / apply the concepts, theories and principles of Nursing Science.
• Demonstrate advanced competence in practice in Nursing
• Practice as a nurse specialist
• Demonstrate leadership on qualities and function effectively as nurse educator and manager.
• Demonstrate skill in conducting nursing research, interpreting and utilizing the findings from health related research.
• Demonstrate the ability to plan and effect change in nursing practice and in the health care delivery system.
• Establish collaborative relationship with members of other disciplines.
• Demonstrate interest in continued learning for personal and professional advancement.
