Hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (health, medicine, nursing, allied health, science, social sciences, economics, policy, law etc).

Meet English language proficiency requirements (for international students).

Applicants who have degrees in “unrelated” disciplines may still be eligible, often with a demonstration of relevant work experience or additional qualifications.

The Master of Public Health at the University of Sydney is a comprehensive postgraduate programme aimed at equipping graduates to engage in public health practice, policy, research and advocacy. 1. Confirm you meet the eligibility criteria (academic degree in relevant discipline + English proficiency + any work experience/other specified criteria).
2. Prepare your application: academic transcripts, proof of degree, CV/resume (especially if you have relevant health/public-health experience), English test results if required.
3. Visit the University of Sydney postgraduate admissions portal and select the Master of Public Health programme.
4. Submit the online application by the deadline for the intake (commencement typically February and/or August)
5. Await the admission decision; selection is likely merit-based (academic record, relevant experience, references).
6. If offered admission, accept the offer, enrol in required units of study, pay tuition fees and commence study at the start of the intake.
