Overview

Master of Pharmacy in pharmaceutics program aims at developing the knowledge for converting a chemical entity into a new convenient dosage form for administration. It includes the basics of Preformulation study to the ultimate conventional dosage form and novel drug delivery system. Scale up of laboratory scheme of the research into large scale production also includes in the course. The course covers the safety and efficacy of the finished pharmaceutical product in terms of biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics. The program also designed for the development of Cosmetics and cosmeceuticals which has considerable usage in the present era. Regulatory Guidelines for drugs & cosmetics a new area which has wide range of competency in the pharmaceutical industry is also focused to cover the whole area of pharmaceutical development process. Use of computers purges to highest peak in this decade, hence utilization of computers for drug design and its assistance in drug delivery system also plays a major part in the program. Entrepreneurship including marketing , distribution and manufacturing in pharma field also comprise major field in the health care category in India which also has been included in the PG program.

Eligibility

Candidate should have Pass in the B.Pharm Degree examinations in an Indian University established by law in India from an institution approved by PCI and has scored not less than 55% of maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years B.Pharm).

Every student, selected for admission to post graduate pharmacy program in any PCI approved institution should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.
