Pedodontics, also known as Pediatric Dentistry, is an age-defined specialty that provides both primary and comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health care needs.
Syllabus:
The syllabus for the theory of the specialty of Pedodontics should cover the entire field of the subject and the following topics are used as guidelines.

Written Examination (Theory)
Paper-I: Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Nutrition and Dietics.
Paper-II: Clinical pediatric dentistry.
Paper-Ill: Preventive and community dentistry as applied to pediatric dentistry.

Eligibility
A candidate for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, must possess a recognized degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognized dental college.

Admission Process:
There shall be a uniform NEET for admission to the post-graduate dental courses in each academic year conducted in the manner, as prescribed by the National Board of Examination or any other authority appointed by the Central Government in this behalf.
