Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry

Overview

The Dept. of Paediatric dentistry cater to the oral health care needs of all the children from birth through 14 years of age. We follow tender, love and care approach towards children not only to improve their behavior but also to inculcate a positive attitude. Our team has expertise in improving the oral health of the differently abled children by means of various pharmacologic & non-pharmacologic means. We have general anaesthesia facilities to treat extremely uncooperative patients with complex dental needs. Conscious sedation unit is available to treat apprehensive children. The child treatment begins with the preventive approach of applying topical fluorides and sealants. Counselling parents & children about balanced diet, brushing & flossing methods is an integral part of our treatment approach. Advanced equipment like endomicroscopy, techniques like rotary endodontics and novel materials like MTA are used in paediatricend.

Eligibility

A candidate for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, must possess a recognised degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognised dental college.
