IOTA Certification Program

This course caters to practicing sonologists, gynecologists and radiologists and those who are training to become practitioners in Gynecological ultrasound, as well as postgraduate medical students in these fields.

The IOTA Certification program is for practitioners desiring to enhance their ultrasound skills in evaluation of adnexal masses. Adnexal masses are frequently encountered and are often a challenge to diagnose and manage. This program is focused on providing knowledge of internationally accepted standardized terminology and methodologies for evaluation of adnexal masses. This will significantly help in determining whether these masses are benign or malignant, and the likely pathology. A test will be conducted at the end of the program. On passing the IOTA test, you will be certified by the IOTA group (Europe). A certificate will be provided by them and your name will be uploaded on the IOTA website in the list of certified members.

Salient Features:

1. The course is typically conducted onsite, however, in view of the pandemic we are presently doing it online.
2. This 4-hour course focuses on providing knowledge of internationally accepted standardized terminology and methodologies for evaluation of adnexal masses and will significantly help you in determining whether the adnexal masses you encounter in your practice masses are benign or malignant.
3. The course is conducted onsite in various countries and cities as arranged by the organising committee.
4. Prior to the program study material is provided to the registrants – the IOTA Consensus Statement published by the IOTA group & free access to the IOTA basic talk on this portal.
5. A test will be conducted at the end of the program and you will be IOTA certified once you pass the test.
