Interventional Radiology Residency Program

1. Applicants must possess a medical degree (Doctor of Medicine or equivalent) from a recognized medical school.
2. Applicants must complete or have completed at least one year of Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited postgraduate training in a clinical specialty.
3. Acceptable clinical training includes Internal Medicine, Transitional Year, or Surgery.
4. Applicants must submit their United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1 score.
5. Applicants must provide three letters of recommendation.
6. Applicants must submit their medical school transcript and Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE), also known as the Dean's Letter.
7. International Medical Graduates must have certification or anticipated certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).

The Interventional Radiology Integrated Residency Program, offered by the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, provides comprehensive postgraduate training in minimally invasive, image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The curriculum includes diagnostic radiology, interventional oncology, vascular and venous interventions, transplant procedures, hepatobiliary interventions, trauma care, reproductive health interventions, and dialysis-related procedures. Residents gain hands-on clinical and procedural experience, including patient consultations, pre- and post-procedure management, research, and multidisciplinary patient care.

1. Apply to the Interventional Radiology – Integrated Residency Program through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
2. Complete and submit the ERAS application, including a personal statement.
3. Submit three letters of recommendation.
4. Provide the medical school transcript.
5. Submit the Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE) or Dean's Letter.
6. Provide the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1 score.
7. Submit proof of completion or anticipated completion of at least one year of ACGME-accredited postgraduate clinical training.
8. International Medical Graduates must provide ECFMG certification or anticipated certification.
9. Ensure all application materials are submitted by the November deadline specified in the ERAS application timeline. Applications are generally accepted beginning in September.
10. Shortlisted applicants are invited for a personal interview at the discretion of the Program Director and Residency Selection Committee.
11. Applications are evaluated based on examination scores, recommendation letters, academic performance, clinical evaluations, research experience, and other relevant achievements.
12. Selected applicants participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for final placement.
