The UCLA Department of Radiological Sciences provides comprehensive training in diagnostic and interventional radiology. The four-year Diagnostic Radiology Residency rotates residents through five major teaching hospitals and covers abdominal, breast, thoracic, musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, pediatric, cardiovascular, vascular/interventional, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT and MRI. Residents receive supervised clinical training, conferences, hands-on procedural experience and research opportunities, with progressive responsibility throughout the program. The five-year Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency combines diagnostic radiology training in the first three years with interventional radiology training in the final two years and leads to dual certification in diagnostic and interventional radiology.
