Overview

    IAGES is an internationally renowned academic body with the vision of promoting and spreading the art and science of minimal access surgery throughout India and abroad. It strive to train their younger generation and encourage them to do research and publish. Under the new initiatives announced by President, Dr. Ramen Goel on 09 February 2020, IAGES would provide their members and young postgraduates with various training and research opportunities and encouraging them with various cash rich rewards. From now onwards, each year, IAGES will be selecting maximum of Ten IAGES members (10) for awarding ‘Travelling Fellowship Grant ‘of INR 1,00,000/- each for 6 weeks of training period.

    Applicants must be IAGES member (age no bar).

Admission Process:

    Applicants should send email applications to IAGES Hon. Secretary with mention of below information details along with required documents.

    • Give all your personal details and contact details
    • Mention the Training centre and Name of the Trainer, Place of Training & Training period (should be minimum of 6 weeks) including Start Date & End Date with Name of the Trainer and his/her position & qualification
    • If training is in more than 1 centre, mention the additional places of visit and duration here

    Required Documents

    • Letter from the trainer for accepting your request for training during the above-mentioned period
    • Letter of authorization from Zonal Vice President

    Notes:

    • Last date of application is 31st August every year
    • Travel, accommodation at the training centre and food expenses are sole responsibility of the applicant.
    • Date of announcement of successful applicant will be within 6 weeks after the application to Hon. Secretary.
    • After the authorisation by our Academic council, IAGES will inform the successful applicants regarding the travelling fellowship grant within 6 weeks of application and arrange for release of the fund through IAGES Treasurer (INR 100,000 for each travelling fellow).
    • She/he would be asked to submit a detailed report (200 words) describing the training aspect and how she/he has benefited from these 6 weeks training.
