Hematology & Oncology Fellowship

The USC/LA General Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship Program is a 3-year ACGME-accredited fellowship designed to provide comprehensive training in both hematology and medical oncology. Fellows spend 18 months in Medical Oncology and 18 months in Hematology, gaining clinical experience across Los Angeles General Medical Center, Keck Hospital of USC, and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. Training includes inpatient and outpatient hematology/oncology care, hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, chemotherapy, bone marrow transplantation, multidisciplinary tumor boards, clinical trials, research, and structured didactic teaching. The program prepares fellows for board eligibility in both hematology and medical oncology and for careers in academic or community-based practice.

3. IMG applicants must provide a valid ECFMG certificate, California eligibility letter, and evidence of U.S. clinical experience.
4. Applications are reviewed by the fellowship program.
5. Selected applicants are contacted by email for an interview.
6. The program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), and fellowship positions are offered through the Match.
