The General Psychiatry Residency Program at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center provides four years of comprehensive training in adult and general psychiatry. Residents gain experience in inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and community psychiatry. The program also provides training in psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, psychiatric assessment, research, teaching, and multidisciplinary patient care, with increasing clinical responsibility throughout the residency.
