The Psychiatry Residency Program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Memphis, provides four years of comprehensive training in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders. Residents gain clinical experience across diverse patient populations and care settings while working with faculty from psychiatry, psychology, and social work. The program includes structured clinical rotations, didactic education, mentorship, research, quality improvement, advocacy, and teaching opportunities. Residents can also pursue individualized areas of interest and develop skills for independent psychiatric practice or further subspecialty training.
