The General Psychiatry Residency is a 4-year, ACGME-accredited residency program that provides comprehensive training in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental health and psychiatric disorders across the lifespan. Residents gain extensive clinical experience in inpatient psychiatry, outpatient psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, community psychiatry, and psychotherapy. The program also offers opportunities in research, quality improvement, medical education, leadership development, and elective rotations, preparing graduates for independent psychiatric practice or advanced subspecialty fellowship training.
