The Abdominal Transplant Fellowship Program at UCSF School of Medicine is a 2-year ASTS-approved fellowship for physicians who have completed General Surgery training and wish to specialize in multi-organ abdominal transplant surgery. The program provides advanced training in kidney, liver, and pancreas transplantation, including deceased and living donor organ procurement and comprehensive pre-, peri-, and post-transplant patient care. Fellows rotate through kidney/pancreas transplantation, liver transplantation, pediatric transplantation, and donor multi-organ procurement, gaining experience in a high-volume transplant center and exposure to the full spectrum of abdominal transplant surgery.
