Fellowship of Neurocritical Care (FNCC)

1. Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or equivalent medical degree.
2. Completion of the required prior Neurology training before starting the fellowship.
3. Meet Cedars-Sinai Graduate Medical Education eligibility requirements. For international medical graduates, the medical school must be listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS), with current Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification or the required unrestricted United States medical license.
4. Meet the applicable specialty-specific requirements for Neurocritical Care.
5. Be eligible for the required California medical license and Cedars-Sinai clinical credentialing.
6. Demonstrated clinical or academic interest in neurocritical care and management of critically ill neurological patients.

The Neurocritical Care Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center provides advanced training in the care of critically ill patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Fellows gain experience in the assessment and management of neurological emergencies and severe disorders requiring intensive care, while working with multidisciplinary teams across Neurology, Neurosurgery, and critical care services. The fellowship also provides opportunities for clinical education, academic activities, and research related to neurocritical care and neurological critical illness. Cedars-Sinai lists the Neurocritical Care Fellowship within its Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neurosciences training programs.

1. Complete medical school and the required Neurology residency training.
2. Prepare the required application materials, including curriculum vitae, personal statement, educational records, and letters of recommendation.
3. Submit the application through the application route specified by the Neurocritical Care Fellowship.
4. The program reviews applicants based on their clinical training, academic background, and suitability for advanced neurocritical care training.
5. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview.
6. Selected candidates complete California licensing, Cedars-Sinai credentialing, and Graduate Medical Education onboarding requirements before starting the fellowship.
