The Neurocritical Care Fellowship at Keck School of Medicine of USC is a 1–2 year UCNS- and ACGME-accredited fellowship designed to train physicians in the diagnosis and management of neurological emergencies as primary treating physicians. Fellows receive comprehensive clinical training in acute ischemic stroke, status epilepticus, traumatic brain injury, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, neuromuscular emergencies, encephalitis, and general critical care. Training includes interpretation of continuous EEG and transcranial Doppler (TCD), bedside ultrasound, invasive critical-care procedures, and rotations through Neurocritical Care, Trauma ICU, Surgical Critical Care, Anesthesia Critical Care, Medical ICU, and Cardiothoracic ICU. Fellows also receive dedicated research opportunities and participate in academic conferences and teaching activities. Training takes place at Keck Hospital of USC and Los Angeles General Medical Center.
