The Fellowship in Wound Care & Tissue Repair at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago is a one-year clinical fellowship designed to provide advanced training in the evaluation, treatment, and management of complex, chronic, and non-healing wounds. The program offers multidisciplinary training through exposure to vascular surgery, plastic surgery, general surgery, infectious disease, dermatology, orthopedics, rheumatology, physical therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and wound nursing. Fellows gain hands-on experience in wound assessment, diabetic foot wounds, vascular and pressure wounds, surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, tissue repair techniques, and advanced wound healing therapies, preparing them to provide comprehensive care for patients with challenging wound conditions.
