The Fellowship in Burn Surgery at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is a one-year advanced fellowship focused on comprehensive management of burns, frostbite, and complex wounds. Fellows gain clinical and operative experience in burns, electrical and inhalation injuries, exfoliative skin disorders such as SJS/TEN, necrotizing soft-tissue infections, complex wounds, and scar management. Training includes surgical reconstruction and laser therapy, critical care, multidisciplinary burn management, and opportunities for clinical and basic science research. The program is based at the region’s only American Burn Association (ABA)-verified burn center, which also functions as a Level 1 Trauma Center.
