Fellowship in Transplant Nephrology

The Transplant Nephrology Fellowship is an AST-accredited program offering comprehensive training in all aspects of transplant nephrology. The one-year clinical fellowship provides equal inpatient and outpatient experience, including donor and recipient evaluation, post-transplant immunosuppression, graft dysfunction, desensitization, paired exchange, and transplant biopsy. Fellows participate in multidisciplinary transplant rounds, donor/waitlist/recipient selection meetings, journal clubs, case and pathology conferences, tissue-typing training, and optional transplant infectious disease and pathology rotations. Opportunities are also available for clinical or translational research under the mentorship of transplant nephrology faculty.

1. Submit an application through the University of Colorado Transplant Nephrology Fellowship application
2. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis
3. The program aims to fill the position by November for the following academic year
4. Applicants undergo the program's selection process
5. One transplant fellow is accepted each academic year
6. The selected fellow enters the one-year clinical Transplant Nephrology Fellowship or the available two-year research track
