Fellowship in Surgical Sports Medicine

The Sports Medicine Surgical Fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is a one-year postgraduate fellowship focused on advanced orthopaedic sports medicine and shoulder surgery. Fellows gain exposure to a broad range of simple to complex sports medicine and shoulder conditions, with emphasis on surgical and rehabilitation approaches. The program also provides dedicated research time, team physician experience with collegiate and high-school athletes, and an academic curriculum including weekly lectures, journal clubs, cadaver anatomy sessions, and bioskills laboratory training.

1. Applicants must apply through the San Francisco Match (SF Match)
2. Applications must be submitted through the SF Match Central Application Service (CAS)
3. The fellowship participates in the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship Match sponsored by the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and administered by SF Match
4. Applications must be submitted by December 1 each year for the applicable Spring Match
5. Selected candidates proceed through the SF Match selection and ranking process for fellowship placement
