Fellowship in Spine Surgery

The Comprehensive Spine Surgery Fellowship is a one-year advanced training program offering broad clinical and surgical experience in the management of spinal disorders. Fellows receive training in degenerative cervical, thoracic and lumbar conditions, spinal deformities, trauma, fractures, tumors, pediatric spine disorders and spinal arthritis. The program provides exposure to minimally invasive, endoscopic and microscopic techniques, as well as motion-preservation procedures and comprehensive preoperative and postoperative patient care. Fellows also participate in clinical research, teaching activities, and academic presentations to develop expertise in both complex spine surgery and evidence-based patient management.

1. Complete or be in the final stage of an Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery residency.
2. Review the fellowship application requirements and timeline.
3. Orthopedic Surgery applicants: Apply through SF Match.
4. Neurosurgery applicants: Contact the fellowship program before the SF Match cycle and follow the program's application instructions.
5. Submit the required application materials.
6. Participate in the fellowship selection/interview process.
