The Spinal Cord Injury Medicine Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (in collaboration with the Kennedy Krieger Institute) is a 1-year ACGME-accredited subspecialty program that provides advanced training in the comprehensive management of patients with spinal cord injury and spinal cord dysfunction. The fellowship offers exposure to both adult and pediatric populations, covering acute, chronic, traumatic, and non-traumatic conditions. It emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach focusing on medical management, rehabilitation strategies, prevention of complications, and functional recovery, with specialized training in areas such as urologic care, spasticity management, musculoskeletal health, and neural restoration techniques.
