Fellowship in Rheumatology

1. Candidates must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or equivalent medical degree from a qualifying medical school.
2. Candidates must have completed an Internal Medicine residency before entering the Rheumatology Fellowship.
3. Graduates of medical schools outside the United States and Canada must have graduated from a school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and must have either current Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification or full and unrestricted United States medical licensure.
4. Candidates must meet the applicable Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) specialty requirements and Cedars-Sinai institutional requirements.
5. Candidates must satisfy applicable California medical licensure and credentialing requirements before beginning clinical training.
6. Applicants with previous postgraduate training must provide documentation verifying satisfactory completion of their prior training.

The Fellowship in Rheumatology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center provides advanced clinical and academic training in the diagnosis and management of rheumatic, autoimmune, and musculoskeletal diseases. Fellows receive supervised clinical training and opportunities to participate in clinical and translational research within Cedars-Sinai's rheumatology and research programs. 1. Complete an Internal Medicine residency before starting the Rheumatology Fellowship.
2. Prepare the required application documents, including curriculum vitae, medical school transcript or diploma, personal statement, United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) scores, and other required credentials.
3. Fellowship applicants must provide two letters of recommendation as part of the Cedars-Sinai application requirements.
4. Submit the fellowship application through the application method specified by the Rheumatology Fellowship.
5. Eligible applicants may be invited for an interview.
6. The program evaluates applicants based on their postgraduate training, academic credentials, clinical experience, and suitability for rheumatology training.
7. Selected candidates must complete final credentialing, California medical licensure, background checks, and other Cedars-Sinai onboarding requirements before starting the fellowship.
