Fellowship in Regional Anesthesiology & Acute Pain Medicine

1. MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
2. Completion of an Anesthesiology residency.
3. Must be eligible for anesthesiology board certification.
4. Must hold a full and unrestricted California medical license.

The Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Management Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai is a one-year advanced fellowship that provides specialized training in regional anesthesiology and acute pain medicine. Fellows gain hands-on experience with ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, peripheral nerve blocks, continuous catheter techniques, inpatient and outpatient acute pain management, and multimodal analgesia. The program also includes clinical teaching, simulation and ultrasound education, research, and multidisciplinary collaboration to develop advanced skills in perioperative pain management.

2. Confirm eligibility for anesthesiology board certification.
3. Obtain/maintain a full, unrestricted California medical license.
4. Register for the SF Match – Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Management Fellowship Match.
5. Submit the fellowship application and required documents.
6. Application is reviewed by the fellowship selection committee.
7. Shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview.
8. Participate in the SF Match process.
9. Complete Cedars-Sinai credentialing and onboarding requirements.
10. Begin the 1-year fellowship after successful matching and appointment.
