Fellowship in Regional Anesthesiology & Acute Pain Medicine

The Regional Anesthesia & Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a one-year, high-volume fellowship focused on advanced training in regional anesthesia, acute pain management, and ambulatory anesthesia. Fellows develop expertise in ultrasound-guided and nerve-stimulator techniques, including upper- and lower-extremity, truncal, single-shot and continuous peripheral nerve blocks, as well as neuraxial techniques. Training also includes management of postoperative and acute-on-chronic pain, Acute Pain Service rounds, ambulatory anesthesia, structured didactics, journal clubs, teaching, and clinical research opportunities.

1. Complete the Common Application for the Regional Anesthesia & Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship.
2. Email the completed application directly to the Fellowship Program Coordinator, Tammy Carpentier.
3. The program reviews the application and supporting materials.
4. Eligible candidates are invited for an interview.
5. Final selection is made directly by the fellowship program.
6. The fellowship is not ACGME accredited and does not use the SF Match/ACGME Match process.
