Fellowship in Radiosurgery

The one-year Radiosurgery Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham provides comprehensive subspecialty training in stereotactic radiosurgery. Fellows gain clinical experience in advanced radiosurgical techniques, treatment planning, and patient management for conditions including tumors, vascular malformations, spinal disorders, pediatric cases, and functional neurosurgery. The program also provides exposure to Radiation Oncology, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), multidisciplinary patient care, clinical decision-making, operative planning, and post-radiosurgical care. Fellows participate in resident education, clinical conferences, and dedicated radiosurgery-related research, with opportunities to collaborate with Neurosurgery and Radiation Oncology faculty and contribute to academic publications.

3. The fellowship is based primarily at UAB and involves training with Neurosurgery and Radiation Oncology faculty.
4. Selected fellows participate in clinical radiosurgery training, general neurosurgical activities, teaching, conferences, and research.
