Fellowship in Perioperative Medicine

1. Board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologists, or anesthesiology residents in their CA-3 year.
2. A valid California medical license is required before starting the fellowship.
3. International medical graduates must submit a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate.

The UCLA Perioperative Medicine Fellowship is a non-Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited program focused on perioperative patient care, the Perioperative Surgical Home model, Enhanced Recovery After Surgery, and multidisciplinary clinical and administrative management. Fellows gain experience in patient safety, quality improvement, clinical pathways, leadership, risk management, healthcare operations, research, and perioperative consulting.

1. Include a curriculum vitae, personal statement, three letters of recommendation (one from the Residency Program Director), Dean’s Letter or Medical Student Performance Evaluation, medical school diploma, transcripts, examination scores, and other required documents.
