Fellowship in Pediatric Urology

1. Applicants must have completed residency training in an accredited Urology program.
2. Candidates should meet the eligibility requirements for an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited Pediatric Urology Fellowship.
3. Applicants must complete the Universal Pediatric Urology Fellowship Application Form.
4. Candidates should be prepared to participate in clinical pediatric urology, operative procedures, inpatient care, and research activities.
5. Applicants should be willing to participate in academic teaching, clinical research, and quality improvement projects during the fellowship.

The Fellowship in Pediatric Urology at UC San Diego School of Medicine is a two-year, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited program offered in collaboration with Rady Children’s Hospital–San Diego. The fellowship provides comprehensive clinical and research training in pediatric urology, including operative procedures, inpatient care, multidisciplinary clinics, and the management of complex urological conditions in children. UC San Diego School of Medicine is a research-intensive academic institution committed to medical education, clinical excellence, and innovation. Its Department of Urology focuses on advanced patient care, surgical training, and research to develop skilled urology specialists. Rady Children’s Hospital–San Diego serves as the primary clinical training site, where fellows gain supervised surgical experience, participate in resident teaching, and conduct clinical research and quality improvement projects. The program also includes training in epidemiology, biostatistics, outcomes research, research data management, and grant writing.
