Overview
The Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware is a three-year ACGME-accredited training program that prepares pediatricians to diagnose and manage a wide variety of pulmonary conditions — including asthma, cystic fibrosis, sleep-related breathing disorders, neuromuscular respiratory dysfunction, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary vascular disease, airway anomalies, and acute respiratory failure. The curriculum balances clinical rotations in inpatient consult service, outpatient clinics, pulmonary function labs, and specialized services such as sleep laboratories and bronchoscopic evaluation with research training in clinical and basic science topics. Fellows are mentored by experienced faculty and participate in multidisciplinary conferences, didactic sessions, and scholarly activities aimed at developing expertise in pediatric respiratory physiology, disease mechanisms, therapeutic procedures, and evidence-based practice. Training also includes exposure to ventilator management, airway reconstruction collaborations, ventilator dependence care, and acute care settings. Eligibility
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program.
- Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics.
- Valid U.S. medical licensure eligibility (including state training license).
- Submission of complete ERAS application materials by deadlines.
- Participation in the NRMP Pediatric Specialties Fall Match if required.
- Letters of recommendation (including from pediatric residency director), personal statement, transcript, and USMLE/COMLEX scores.

Admission Process:
