The Fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery is typically a 1-year advanced subspecialty program offered through Johns Hopkins–affiliated pediatric centers, designed for trained neurosurgeons to gain expertise in managing complex neurological disorders in children. The program provides extensive exposure to conditions such as pediatric brain tumors, congenital anomalies, hydrocephalus, spinal disorders, epilepsy, and craniofacial abnormalities, with strong emphasis on operative skills, perioperative care, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Fellows work in high-volume pediatric settings and are actively involved in research, academic teaching, and innovation, preparing them for leadership roles in pediatric neurosurgery.
