The Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine, San Francisco is a one-year clinical fellowship focused on the evaluation and management of children and young adults with benign and malignant central nervous system (CNS) tumors. Fellows receive supervised training in inpatient and outpatient neuro-oncology at the San Francisco and Oakland campuses, with rotations in neuropathology, neuroradiology, neurosurgery, radiation oncology, and palliative care. The program also provides extensive exposure to clinical trials, neuroimaging, pathology, molecular diagnostics, treatment planning, and management of tumor- and treatment-related complications. Fellows complete a clinical research or quality-improvement project with faculty mentorship, preparing them for careers in pediatric neuro-oncology and translational research.
