Fellowship in Pediatric Epilepsy

1. MD or DO degree from accredited medical school
2. Completion of an ACGME-accredited pediatric neurology residency
3. Passing scores on licensing exams (USMLE/COMLEX)
4. Participation in or eligibility for the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for fellowship
5. Submission of complete ERAS application with supporting documents
6. Invitation to interview based on application review.

The Pediatric Epilepsy Fellowship at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware is a one-year ACGME-accredited subspecialty program that equips pediatric neurologists with advanced expertise in the evaluation and management of epilepsy and related seizure disorders. Fellows train in both inpatient and outpatient settings, spending significant time in epilepsy monitoring units (EMU) and EEG interpretation under expert mentorship. The curriculum includes dedicated rotations at Nemours and at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, with structured exposure to clinical care, EEG interpretation, seizure management, surgical candidacy evaluation, and research. Fellows maintain continuity clinics, participate in multidisciplinary conferences, engage in scholarly activity, and receive weekly didactic instruction aligned with core neurology competencies. The program focuses on developing clinical judgment, technical skills in EEG and neurophysiology, research acumen, and professional leadership in pediatric epilepsy care.
