Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology

1. MD or DO from an accredited medical school
2. Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatrics residency
3. Valid USMLE/COMLEX scores
4. ECFMG certificate for international applicants, if applicable
5. Application through ERAS and participation in the pediatric subspecialty match or program selection process
6. Letters of recommendation, personal statement, and Pediatric residency documentation submitted.

The Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is a rigorous three-year ACGME-accredited subspecialty program designed to train future leaders in pediatric hormonal and metabolic care. Fellows gain expertise in managing a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders — including childhood diabetes, growth abnormalities, thyroid and adrenal dysfunction, puberty disorders, and metabolic bone diseases — through structured inpatient and outpatient rotations, continuity care clinics, and interdisciplinary clinical experience. The curriculum incorporates both clinical training and research development, with the first year emphasizing clinical exposure and the latter years increasingly focused on scholarly work, designed research projects, and presentations. Fellows work closely with pediatric endocrinology faculty and participate in clinical conferences, journal clubs, didactic lectures, and research seminars tailored to deepen understanding of endocrine physiology and pathophysiology. The program prepares graduates for academic and clinical careers, eligibility for board subspecialty certification, and leadership roles in pediatric endocrinology.
