Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology

1. MD or DO from an accredited medical school
2. Completion of pediatric residency training accredited by ACGME
3. Completed licensing exams (USMLE/COMLEX) as required
4. Valid U.S. licensure eligibility
5. Application submitted via ERAS
6. Submission of letters of recommendation and other supporting documents

The Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware is a comprehensive three–year ACGME-accredited training program that equips pediatricians with advanced expertise in managing a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes (type 1, type 2, MODY), disorders of growth, thyroid and adrenal physiology, pubertal development, endocrine neoplasia, differences in sex development, and disorders of mineral homeostasis and bone health. The program combines both inpatient and outpatient clinical training, longitudinal fellow clinics, and diverse specialty-specific clinics such as gender wellness and sex chromosome alteration clinics. Fellows also participate in biweekly journal clubs, weekly clinical experiences, and research mentorship with dedicated scholarly projects designed to foster scientific inquiry and evidence-based practice. Collaborative, interdisciplinary training integrates care with nursing, social work, psychology, diabetes educators, and other healthcare professionals. The program prepares fellows for careers in academic medicine, clinical leadership, and research in pediatric endocrinology.
