The Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship providing comprehensive training in the anesthetic care of newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. Fellows gain experience in routine and complex pediatric anesthesia, including neonatal emergencies, congenital heart disease, solid-organ transplantation, neurosurgery, craniofacial reconstruction, scoliosis surgery, and procedures outside the operating room. Training also emphasizes pediatric airway management, vascular access, regional anesthesia, perioperative pain management, mechanical ventilation, fluid and temperature management, and care of critically ill pediatric patients.
