Overview
The Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant Fellowship at The CORE Institute is a comprehensive post-graduate clinical training program designed to help physician assistants transition from academic education to specialized orthopedic practice. The program provides immersive training in a high-volume orthopedic surgical environment where fellows work closely with attending surgeons, residents, and experienced advanced practice providers. Fellows gain hands-on experience assisting in surgeries and managing patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The fellowship exposes participants to a wide range of orthopedic subspecialties including trauma, sports medicine, spine, hand, and joint reconstruction. In addition to operative exposure, fellows participate in clinical decision-making, perioperative care, and patient follow-up. The training emphasizes building advanced diagnostic skills, surgical proficiency, and multidisciplinary teamwork. The program also provides educational sessions and mentorship from leading orthopedic specialists within the institute. Overall, the fellowship prepares physician assistants for advanced roles in orthopedic surgery and musculoskeletal care.
