The Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a 2-year fellowship providing intensive clinical and surgical training in oculoplastic and orbital surgery. Fellows gain hands-on experience in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery, lacrimal surgery, orbital surgery, and socket surgery, with additional exposure to craniofacial surgery, ENT/facial plastic surgery, dermatology, Mohs surgery, plastic surgery, neuro-imaging, and neuro-ophthalmology. The fellowship also emphasizes resident teaching, academic activities, clinical research, journal clubs, and surgical education. Recent fellow case logs show approximately 1,000–1,200 procedures as primary surgeon in one year.
