Fellowship in Ocular Regenerative Medicine

• Must have completed an accredited ophthalmology residency program .
• Must be eligible for medical licensure in Illinois (USA).
• Permanent medical license is required before or during training.
• Interest/experience in ocular regenerative medicine, clinical research, or advanced diagnostics (preferred).
• Ability to work in clinical trials and translational research settings.

The Ocular Regenerative Medicine Fellowship at University of Illinois College of Medicine is an advanced subspecialty program that trains ophthalmologists in the use of regenerative therapies, advanced imaging, and clinical research to treat complex eye diseases. The fellowship combines hands-on patient care, cutting-edge diagnostics (such as OCT and electrophysiology), and translational research, with a strong focus on cell-based therapies, AI applications, and clinical trials. Fellows work in a multidisciplinary academic environment, gaining experience in innovative treatment approaches, research methodology, and academic teaching, with the goal of advancing the field of regenerative ophthalmology.
