The OB-GYN Hospitalist Fellowship Program is a one-year fellowship designed to prepare physicians for careers as academic OB-GYN hospitalists. Fellows train at a high-volume, high-acuity referral center with approximately 4,000 deliveries annually and gain experience in labor and delivery, gynecology, antepartum care, OB triage, gynecologic emergencies, ultrasound, and elective areas such as OB anesthesia, neonatal resuscitation, and family planning. The program emphasizes advanced clinical decision-making, assisted vaginal deliveries with a focus on forceps, emergency gynecologic surgery, resident teaching, team leadership, quality improvement, and patient safety. Fellows also complete a dedicated research or quality-improvement project and present the outcomes to the department.
